Open Science Forum Mitteldeutschland 2026

The Open Science Forum Mitteldeutschland 2026 invites participants to Leipzig on 5 October 2026 for an open exchange on Open Science as a field of active shaping and development. The discussion will focus on the role of research-supporting institutions in new approaches to research assessment, sustainable infrastructures, and digital sovereignty in the context of geopolitical developments.

The event will take place from 10:00 to 17:00 at the Bibliotheca Albertina, Beethovenstraße 6, Leipzig. The programme includes keynote inputs by Petra Gehring, Lambert Heller, Anne Gärtner, and Mathijs Vleugel, as well as interactive discussion rounds and a plenary session.
