COMETiN will start a new series from October 2024.

The program COMETiN is aimed at women and individuals who identify as female, who wish to actively shape their professional future and aspire to leadership roles in science, industry, or research.

The one-year program offers early-career female scientists the opportunity to engage continuously and sustainably in planning and implementing their career steps through various workshops, coaching sessions, and mentoring. It also aims to expand academic key qualifications and foster supportive relationships with other scientists.

The program supports the individual career development of female scientists starting from the doctoral phase, through the post-doc phase, and as junior professors. The program is bilingual (German and English) - internationals are warmly welcome and encouraged to apply! Wildcards (for staff members and non-OVGU affiliates, e.g., IFF, MPI, H2, etc.) are possible.

COMETiN consists of four modules, conducted within a steady cohort of companions over the course of one year, each approximately once a month:

  • COACHING
  • MENTORING
  • TRAINING
  • NETWORKING (e.g., alumni events)

Additionally, there is a framework program (kick-off event, mid-term event, closing event), which is mandatory for mentees and to which mentors are warmly invited. Early-career female scientists from all disciplines can participate.

If interested, please feel free to send me a non-binding email to cometin@ovgu.de.
(Please include your name, field of study, brief motivation/expectations, questions)

The official formal application phase will start in September 2024 for the program start of COMETiN in October 2024.
