Target audience:
Early-career researchers of the Graduate Academy at the University of Magdeburg
Objective:
The workshop provides strategies for securing research funding within the German and European academic systems. It focuses on participants’ individual plans and previous experience. The goal is to support participants in the strategic planning of their grant applications and to reflect and strengthen their projects through targeted short coaching sessions.
Content:

Individual assessment & prospecting: Analysis of current status and goals

Basics of the German and European academic system

Career development: Typology of research and doctoral funding

Handling program descriptions, project planning, and perspective shifts

Research funding – do’s and don’ts in application preparation & review perspectives

Individual deepening through one-on-one short coaching sessions on the second day
