DREAM (Data-driven Research, Engineering, Analysis & Modelling)

The DocAG DREAM (Data-driven Research, Engineering, Analysis & Modeling) brings together doctoral students from various disciplines who focus on the collection, processing, and interpretation of research data, the modeling of technical processes, and issues in control engineering.

The group facilitates the exchange of technical and methodological knowledge between researchers working in experimental and theoretical fields.
At regular meetings (approximately every 4–6 weeks), members discuss current challenges in their research projects.

The focus is particularly on the interface between laboratory work and modeling, the handling of research data, the development of mathematical models, and their implementation in Python, MATLAB (or other high-level programming languages).

Other key areas include control engineering methods, and the group also explores the use of AI-based tools in research and programming.

Through regular presentations and discussions of ongoing research projects, participants receive feedback on methodological issues and the analysis of experimental datasets.
