Sport
Soccer
Magdeburg has a soccer club, the 1. FC Magdeburg, which currently plays in the third division. The football matches of the FCM are always characterized by the outstanding atmosphere of the fan community. In order to be able to sing the "Magdeburger Lied" together with the approx. 20.000 other fans, you should watch the football matches in the MDCC arena.
Handball
The SCM is Magdeburg's handball team. Tickets can be purchased for their games. For students there are even discounted tickets.
Bouldern
In the "BlocSchmiede" you can go indoor bouldering. Required material can be borrowed at the location. There is something for every level - from beginner to professional. The climbing routes are changed regularly so that there is no room for boredom. The hall is also easy to reach by public transport.

Stand-Up-Paddling / Canoeing
Stand-up paddling is also possible on the Elbe. This is provided by the beaver association, for example. There, courses can be booked or boards can be rented. They also offer Canoes.

Bierer Berg
The Bierer Berg is located near Schönebeck. There you will find a small zoo with about 180 animals as well as a playground and a bistro. The entrance is free of charge, but you can make a small donation at the entrance. The Bierer Berg is about 20 minutes by car from Magdeburg. You can find detailed directions on the park's homepage.
