10.07.2019: Von der Idee zur Erfindung

Workshop auf Englisch

10.07.2019 | 13:00 - 17:00 Uhr

This introductory talk is aimed at doctoral students and postdocs who want to learn more about intellectual property rights.

Aim

The talk begins with an introduction to the world of intellectual property rights. The requirements and effects of intellectual property rights will be explained to the participants. Emphasis is placed here on the technical protective rights (patents and utility models). In particular, the question is discussed: "How do I know if my research results are the result of an inventive step?". Furthermore, the participants will learn the differences between a free inventor and an inventor, which is an employee. In this context, particular attention is paid to the advantages but also obligations of an inventor, which is employee at a university.

Furthermore Mrs. Siebert, who is working at the patent information centre, which offers among other things professional state of the art searches, will perform two life searches regarding patent search and trademark search.
